Wellbeing + Digital Detox

Spend the day away from screens, for a significant energy boost

Work-related stress has become one of the biggest health hazards in the workplace. Overwhelm and burnout are on the rise, caused by the pressure of fast-paced environments and a 24-hour always-on world.

Away from screens and distractions, this programme helps your team reduce stress and boost wellbeing.

The 21st century wellbeing challenge for your organisation

The boundaries between work and home are becoming increasingly blurred. The way we continuously look at screens is giving us sleep problems and issues with distracted thinking. We are all more anxious than ever. According to PwC ‘more than a third of the UK workforce is experiencing anxiety, depression or stress.'

Tackling this widespread problem requires a change in culture and leadership style, towards one which puts people first and enables employees to thrive.

This programme is especially good if you have:

● staff with high levels of stress
● employees experiencing burnout
● staff and managers needing a digital detox
● people spending a lot of time in front of screens
● team members who are constantly distracted
● leaders who can't switch off

What happens on the day?

Spending time in fields and woods brings an incredible sense of wellbeing. We invite you to hand your phones in for the day and design activities to help you feel good and look at how you can bring more wellbeing into the workplace.

Starting with fun outdoor activities like foraging for health to bring everyone together, lower barriers, and get people thinking about wellbeing at work, after a shared lunch, we help you talk and listen to each other in creative ways to help your whole team generate new ideas, realise your potential
and collaborate more deeply on how to bring more wellbeing to your organisation.

You'll leave refreshed, connected and inspired, with an action plan for the things you agree on to put in place in your workplace.

Why the great outdoors is good for team wellbeing

Nature is proven to lower blood pressure and stress levels, it’s a remedy for distracted thinking, and it’s energising, relaxing, and calming. In fact just 20 minutes in nature is enough time to experience a significant energy boost.

The health benefits of bringing your team into the wild

Time spent in nature is a powerful way to boost wellbeing. Nature is like a super cure. Being outdoors in the wild has a dramatic range of benefits, for both physical and mental health. Time spent outdoors boosts mood and energy, improves attention and encourages connection between colleagues and builds community.
If your team feels good, they'll do good, together.

Locations & What's Included

Pre- and Post- Event:

Before the day, we agree aims, strategy questions, and the itinerary with you.

After the day, we send a report summarising the insights and commitments that you came up with and share any photographs. We also schedule a post-event review call, to make sure the day met your aims and expectations.

Food:

Cooking lunch together is an important part of our programmes. We can cater for most dietary requirements and all food is either organic, free range, additive free, and locally sourced (where possible). We have a plan in place so that no food is wasted.

We offer a choice of outdoor locations, including a nature reserve and a woodland in London, and several sites in the beautiful Sussex countryside (just 1 hour from London, and close to Brighton). All have a fire, toilets, and covers in case of wet weather.

We encourage travel to the venue by public transport or car sharing.
Alternatively, if you’d like to travel together we can recommend taxis or local coach companies.
