Work is changing. With flexible working, the rise of digital, and pressures of an increasingly agile and distributed workforce, it's never been more important to get teams working at their best.
At School of the Wild we run bespoke programmes for organisations and teams, that connect you with the wild, and each other.
On these programmes we take you out of your day-to-day workspaces and get you to spend time in wild places, around a fire, doing a variety of activities, with space to think and reflect.
Doing these things in nature makes it easier to make deeper team connections, and creates the conditions for meaningful conversations and creative problem solving, all of which have positive impacts on productivity and engagement.
Not to mention that being outside in a wild, natural place is energising and refreshing, boosts health and well-being, and increases environmental awareness, stimulating happiness and motivation.

Our programmes range from half-day workshops around the fire, to week-long team building and development retreats in the woods, and can include:
Immersive Team Building
A strong team can lead to major gains for every business. At a School of the Wild team experience you'll relax and have fun, doing immersive team activities and learning new skills together, which fosters deeper team connections, improving communication, and building trust and confidence in each other. Plus learning how nature works can inspire your team to find new directions, and discover innovative and creative ways of doing things, which can be transformative in your day-to-day work.
Meaningful Conversations Make Your Team Stronger
Quality conversations lead to committed action. Our facilitated campfire conversations help you and your team listen to each other, be heard, bring out the quiet voices, and are great for discussing vision and strategy, for getting support on challenges and issues, for action learning, or just getting to know each other better.
Sitting around fires is primal and connecting, something our ancestors were doing together for thousands of years. The circle removes hierarchy, and is a great place to spark the imagination and have more meaningful discussions... because the best conversations don't happen in a meeting room.
Shared Team Activities that Open the Mind
We offer a range of activities on our programmes: from natural navigation, foraging, and wild food cooking, to fire making, and wild swimming. Shared experiences and fun learning that benefit your group's ability to adapt to change, develop positive attitudes, increase interest, and be open to new possibilities.
Headspace Makes Room for Creative Action
Give your team time out for reflection with a silent night walk, mindfulness and sensory awareness exercises, or a solo sit spot in the woods, with senses heightened to the sounds and smells of nature. You'll all come back inspired and refreshed, ready to look anew at 21st century challenges and opportunities.

- A business group on a deep time travel walkshop on the South Downs, to help inspire them to find new ways of looking at things.
- A team lying down on the ground looking at the stars, as part of a development series based around connection.
- Taken a group foraging for wild food and then got them to cook it together, as part of a team building weekend.
- A group of entrepreneurs and creatives on a silent night walk, to experience stillness and sensory awareness, overcome fear, and develop trust.
An amazing day, we were thoroughly inspired by the whole experience. The references to the summer solstice were very pertinent to the theme of the day for us: reviewing the business and looking to the future.
