This workshop will teach you the basics of our oldest technology: fire.
Making fire is a great thing to do at any time of year. It's a great survival skill, good bushcraft, and great fun.
In this masterclass, we'll explore a range of introductory skills, from modern survival methods to traditional fire making from sparks.
We’ll begin with a discussion of the history of fire, and you'll learn what fire really is, where it comes from, and how fire is connected to you.
You'll learn about tinders, different fire lays, and there'll be a test of your skills at the end.
We'll cover what to burn and where to find it, how to light it without matches, and why that's good.
We'll help you learn different ways to set a fire, and keep one going.
Learn to master the ancient techniques necessary to bring fire to life!
There'll be a big fire, hot drinks, and you'll be learning new techniques.
The cost is £35.00, which includes everything you need to learn the art of wild fire making.
